Wine Course - Level 2 - Wine Appreciation & Training (3 days) (SOLD OUT)
This is a wine appreciation course that gives you an introduction to wine making and wine tasting run to an internationally recognised qualification and conducted of 3 day of intensive but fun interactive learning on all aspects of wine appreciation. The course is run by professional wine trainers but in a fun and interactive way.
At the end of the final day you will take an examination which on successful completion would give you a Level 2 award in Wines.
The course involves 16 hours of face to face tuition with our expert tutor and you should allow for up to 11 hours private study and revision.
During the 3 days we explore how environmental factors influence grape growing and winemaking impact on the style and quality of wines made from the following 8 principal grape varieties:

This 3 day course is a great introduction to wines and winemaking and it also provides a useful curtain raiser to the weekend practical viticulture and onology course combing over the 5 days to give a great rounded understanding of wine tasting, styles and practical wine making skills.
